A Favorite Blog

Those of you who follow the art world will recognize the name George Rodrigue as the artist who is probably best known for his Blue Dog paintings.  I like blue dog but enjoy his entire body of work which is quite varied.

His wife, Wendy, writes a great blog and her most recent post really resonated with me as she talked about the Florida panhandle and southern Louisiana.  http://www.wendyrodrigue.com/2012/10/paintin-shrimp-boats-and-pickin-crabs.html

I hope you enjoy her post and decide to read more of her blog, as well.  She and George truly understand what it means to be from the deep south!

  1. I live very near the gigantic Blue (and red and yellow) dog statue on Vets in Metry!

    1. I know where that is! Vets certainly has been getting a lot more colorful in the last few years.

    1. I'm so glad! The whole northeastern arc of the Gulf coast is such an interesting area.
